L.A. Hawbaker is a writer and artist based in Chicago by way of New Orleans, Hawaii, Poland, and Prague. Her writing has appeared in PopMatters, Bright Wall/Dark Room, The Fahmidan Journal, Cicada, Newcity, and The Chicago Tribune. She is the 2020/2021 Artist in Residence at the Columbia College Chicago / Aesthetics of Research.
